Should Public Shaming Be An Effective Form Of Penalty

For those who want to improve society and want their children to behave than public shaming is the answer to misbehaving. Public shaming can be an effective form of penalty. Public shaming is appropriate when teens and children do not obey their parents, law, and authority and it is also appropriate for nonviolent acts offenses. It can teach a valuable lesson to people who have done small offenses. Shame is about the humiliation that we go through, who we are, and guilt is about our actions.† Shame is dishonest all the time. It makes them do cruel things such as criminal acts. She believes that people can change their conduct when they feel guilty. Guilt is different from shame because it involves feeling remorse. Guilt is a feeling it is a form of anticipation of physical punishment. A drawback to public shaming is that it destroys confidence. It corrodes us the capability of change. Public Shame is a better standby for imprisonment because penalty is more expensive for society to pay for non-violent crimes. The United States facility is overloaded with inmates. Inmates that are half in gang related crimes and the other half for nonviolent crimes. The prisons are getting overcrowded and it is irreverent to ignore that prisons are getting worse.
